The Diocesan Education Office updates the official Scholarship Application early in the calendar year. The link to the current application is at the bottom of the official Catholic Schools web site.

Families with a child (or children) planning to attend a Catholic school in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown are eligible to apply. Initial EITC scholarship eligibility is set at $50,000 annual income per family, with each eligible school-aged child increasing this income ceiling by $10,000. Applicants are not guaranteed to receive a grant.

A correct and completed application, including family tax return information and a non-refundable fee per family, must be submitted to our independent service provider by the appropriate application deadline. Our application process guarantees confidentiality of your application. The fee covers grant management services. Neither the Second Century Fund nor the Diocese receives any portion of this fee.

The Diocesan Education Office will notify families receiving grants by mail, with instructions for an acceptance deadline. Scholarships are made directly to the schools and will be credited to the students. accounts for use in the applicable school year.
